World-renowned trumpet virtuoso Allen Vizzutti joins the Tacoma Concert Band for a concert that will dazzle and delight! Vizzutti has performed with many of the world's leading artists and ensembles, from "Doc" Severinsen and the Tonight Show Orchestra to the Tokyo Philharmonic, and as guest soloist with numerous symphony orchestras here and abroad. His solo performances at such diverse venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Newport Jazz Festival have drawn rave reviews. He has been Artist in Residence at such schools as the Eastman School of Music and Ohio State University, and he currently holds that position at the University of Washington. This is a rare opportunity to hear a truly gifted trumpet player as well as the award-winning Tacoma Concert Band in the beautiful surroundings of Tacoma's Pantages Theater.
